CHARITY TOTALS – 2017

A big thank you to all those villagers and volunteers who have run events during the year and everyone who has contributed so generously to our charity giving this year.  I have now totaled up the takings and the results are a magnificent £455.00, which gives each charity we are sponsoring (Helen and Douglas House Children’s Hospice and Police Dependents Trust) a handsome £227.50 each. I am sure these charities will be very pleased with these excellent contributions and I will post the receipts on the Village website in due course.

The charity contributions were from:

FVT Fireworks (10% of net proceeds, less stock)           £188.72

FVT Christmas Bazaar Raffle                                                 £123.00

Villagers’ private donations                                                   £31.53

Carols on Elmside                                                                      £111.75

Total                                                                                                £455.00

In addition, FVT paid for the Pensioner’s Christmas Lunch on 5 December, a total of £670. Many thanks to the kind villagers who contributed towards the drinks for this event.

Thank you all once again for your generosity towards those who are less fortunate than ourselves.
